Emplicity Client, MADA clothing, Named Finalist for Industry Awards
MADA has quickly become the best of the best in its field - and it has the proof to back that up.
The Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) announced that surf industry peers have chosen MADA as a finalist for a 2007 SIMA Image Award, for not only one category, but an impressive two.
MADA has garnered finalist stature for the categories of:
MEN'S APPAREL BRAND OF THE YEAR
Awarded to the men's apparel brand that featured the most exciting designs, increased its brand appeal, and grew its business in 2006.
BREAKTHROUGH BRAND OF THE YEAR
Recognizing the small- to mid-size men's or women's brand that experienced growth in 2006. Consider surfboard, apparel, footwear, wetsuit and accessory brands that had a breakthrough year through product development and/or increased brand recognition and appeal. Nominated companies can be new or established brands, but must have gross global wholesale annual revenues of $25 million or less.
Introduced in 2003, the goal of the SIMA Image Awards is to identify the surf industry's most influential companies and recognize them for their efforts to advance and grow the industry over the past year. All paid SIMA members were eligible to submit nominations - and either a self-nomination or a peer-nomination. All nominations were then reviewed by an industry panel of experts including manufacturers and retailers. The finalists in 12 categories were determined by a vote from this industry panel of experts. The five finalists and winners will be recognized in the 12 award categories during a ceremony at SIMA Surf Summit 10. The 12 categories are: Accessory Product of the Year, Footwear Product of the Year, Surfboard Model of the Year, Wetsuit of the Year, Men's Ad Campaign of the Year, Men's Apparel Brand of the Year, Men's Boardshort of the Year, Women's Ad Campaign of the Year, Women's Apparel Brand of the Year, Women's Swim Brand of the Year, Breakthrough Brand of the Year and Company of the Year.
