Emplicity Chief Addresses Industry Leaders on Vital Factors
Spreading the Gospel on Simplicity

Boca Raton, Florida

Amidst cloudy skies and a recent hurricane, Mr. Simplicity joins movers and shakers from the burgeoning human resources outsourcing (HRO) industry in South Florida to attend the tri-annual Insync Summit, an invitation-only collaboration of Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry leaders. Led by industry commentator and industry guru, Carrie Aaron of PEO Network in Raleigh, North Carolina, the 4-day think-tank reunites over 40 service providers to share successes, new technologies, and a few life lessons.

Emphasizing a simplified approach to performance management, Tanon delivered a personal message, unveiling personal experience and victories his organization has had in managing growth. Founded in 1995 on a shoestring budget, Emplicity commands controllable revenues of approximately $90 million with 2,500 employees under management throughout the United States.

"As executives, we are constantly buried with urgent priorities and endless data. Many business owners battle a mild form of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and unfortunately there are not many resources or tools to be productive. To manage growth and stay focused on the goal, we need to simplify, simplify, simplify and focus our energy on just a few key priorities," says an empathic Tanon, whose clients are paired up with a seasoned HR coach to assist them with establishing, implementing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) at the company level.

"Life throws us curveballs and unexpected turns, but if we stay focused on what's important, we can endure the rough spots and slumps," says a slightly distracted Tanon whose wife had just checked into Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA during his presentation. (Naturally, he took the next flight out and skipped the rest of the convention)

At home, Emplicity practices what they preach every morning at 8:08am. "Our daily huddles help establish a rhythm and accountability to the key activities that generate results," declares Tanon, whose secret lies in the consistency and peer accountability established in the 10 minute daily conference call. Taking cues from Verne Harnish's The Rockefeller Habits and his training at MIT's Birthing of Giants program, the 34-year old entrepreneur is an advent believer that consistency and accountability is key to success.

Crediting his training to personal coach and trusted advisor, Tom O'Brien of Management Action Programs (MAP) in Irvine, California, Tanon is a graduate of MAP and constantly advocates enrollment to their executive development program. As Chief Simplicity Officer of the Irvine-based PEO, Tanon requires his executive staff members and HR Coaches to attend their management boot camps and continuing education.
